Women’s Flyweight

1. ValentinaShevchenko (24-4-1) | UFC [1]

Shevchenko was a woman on a mission in the UFC 306 co-main event,as she dominated Alexa Grasso with takedowns and positional controlen route to a clear-cut unanimous decision triumph at the Sphere inLas Vegas. “Bullet” regains the flyweight belt she lost to Grassoin a massive upset at UFC 285 and evens their trilogy at 1-1-1.Perhaps more impressively, Shevchenko improved to 9-2-1 during hercurrent run of 11 straight title fights, further solidifying herstatus as the greatest female flyweight of all-time.

2. AlexaGrasso (16-4-1) | UFC [2]

Grasso spent much of her trilogy bout against Valentina Shevchenkoon her back, and the Mexican star paid the price, as sherelinquished her flyweight title in a unanimous decision loss atUFC 306. Grasso struggled to find her range on the feet and outsideof a couple submission attempts, was unable to seriously threatenher rival over the course of the 25-minute affair. Still, Grasso is1-1-1 against Shevchenko overall, so she shouldn’t be too far fromcontention at 125 pounds.

3. ManonFiorot (12-1) | UFC [3]

Fiorot relied on her physical advantages at UFC on ESPN 54, as shecruised to a unanimous decision triumph over Erin Blanchfield inthe evening’s main event at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NewJersey. Fiorot’s winning streak now stands at seven, and while itwasn’t an especially enthralling performance, it’s hard to deny theFrenchwoman her place as the division’s No. 1 contender.

4. ErinBlanchfield (13-2) UFC [4]

After suffering her first UFC defeat against Manon Fiorot in March,Blanchfield rebounded with a pivotal, five-round unanimous decisiontriumph against former strawweight queen Rose Namajunas in the UFCEdmonton co-main event. “Cold Blooded” started slowly, but she wasgradually able to take control over the bout’s final 15 minutes. With victories over Namajunas, Taila Santos and Jessica Andradealready on her resume, the New Jersey native has targeted ashowdown against former 125-pound champ Alexa Grasso for her nextOctagon appearance.

5. DakotaDitcheva (14-0) | PFL [5]

After rolling through largely unheralded opposition in her first 13professional outings, Ditcheva made a significant statement at thePFL Championships, where she stopped former UFC title challengerTaila Santos in the second round of the co-headlining clash. With aresume that now includes flyweight titles in the PFL and PFLEurope, Ditcheva appears to be fulfilling her considerablepotential. The Brit’s next step will be interesting, whether it’sanother entry into the PFL season or higher-profile pairings in thepromotion’s pay-per-view division.

6. TailaSantos (22-4) | PFL [6]

Santos figured to be the most stern test for Dakota Ditcheva todate, but the Brazilian was largely outclassed in their PFL finalmatchup, falling via technical knockout 4:41 into the second roundof the flyweight title affair. While the one-sided nature of thedefeat was something of a surprise, Santos enjoyed a productive2024 campaign overall, posting a 3-1 mark that included a triumphover Bellator flyweight queen Liz Carmouche.

7. LizCarmouche (22-8) | PFL [7]

Carmouche missed weight and then was unable to outduel Taila Santosin a PFL flyweight semifinal matchup on Aug. 2 in Nashville. Thatends a nine-bout winning streak for “Girl-Rilla,” who wascompetitive in her first defeat since falling to ValentinaShevchenko in August 2019. Carmouche appears to have plenty left inthe tank at 40 years old, and if the PFL adds a bantamweightdivision as she has requested, that could be the next step in hercareer.

8. NataliaSilva (18-5-1) | UFC [8]

Silva kept her momentum going at UFC Fight Night 242, taking aclear-cut unanimous decision over former strawweight queen JessicaAndrade in the evening’s co-main event at the UFC Apex in LasVegas. The 26-year-old Brazilian has won six straight in theOctagon — and 12 in a row overall — which puts her on the shortlist of intriguing new contenders at 125 pounds.

9. MayceeBarber (14-2) | UFC [9]

A gritty effort propelled Barber to a three-round verdict overformer title challenger Katlyn Cerminara at UFC 299, potentiallymoving “The Future” into position for a championship opportunity ofher own down the road. Barber has won six consecutive outings sincefalling to reigning 125-pound queen Alexa Grasso in February 2021.Barber was forced to withdraw from a headlining clash against RoseNamajunas in Denver on June 13.

10. KatlynCerminara (18-6) | UFC [10]

Though she was typically game throughout, Cerminara ultimatelydidn’t have enough for Maycee Barber, as she dropped a unanimousverdict in their bout at UFC 299 in Miami on March 9. The NewJersey native has lost back-to-back fights for the first time inher career, and at 35 years old, the former flyweight titlechallenger appears to be facing a long road back to the top of thedivision.

Other Contenders: RoseNamajunas, AmandaRibas, VivianeAraujo, KarineSilva, JessicaAndrade.
