Re: Seattle by Klauss 12 y
The first severe AF crash I had in Seattle while working at MSFT. (I don’t like Seattle and MSFT since). Later I found that there are a clinic that specializes in AF treatment. It was listed at Dr. Wilson web site. Did you try it?http://tahomaclinicblog.com/managing-stress-and-adrenal-fatigue/Klauss 775 hits

I don’t even think a prisoner on death row for a crime they didn’t commit would be jealous of the man, sorry, person you are.But anyone with AF is of course jealous of others that don’t and have never had AF. Toxic Hunger dosent exist, so therefore you ’cured’ a non-existant and made up illness with an unbalanced diet created by a supplement pusher. The very things you attack others for. How fast do people die from Cushing’s? I see no where that people die rather quickly from it, so seems people would live long enough to where, according to the theory of ”AF”, their adrenals would ”gas out” before they died. ”AF” would affectively ”prevent” Cushing’s. 3,182 hits

I will now only refer to you as Natway, and hopefully others will too.Potassium is terrible for AF sufferers - common known fact as of our high levels of potassium and low sodium - impaired adrenal function. ”The AF forum is full of former high energy people. They often went through periods of [not] being able to handle more stress than normal.”If I can jump in, I agree with that, but that has nothing to do with their adrenal glands, so all those ”adrenal building” supplements are a big waste of money and also diverts people from treating the real problem, like under-eating that is affecting almost everyone in the AF support section. 3,274 hits

Keep in mind that I’m not saying ”AF” is strictly anorexia. I’m saying ”AF” is starvation/malnutrition caused by prolonged calorie-restriction, such as anorexia or other eating disorders, but also by accidentally under-eating from living a busy lifestyle, or those who were condition that you have to eat at a calorie-deficit to lose weight and maintain being slim but not to the point of them necessarily having an eating disorder.Calorie-restriction is calorie-restriction no matter what the cause. 2,895 hits

You discriminately chose symptoms from several different sites on anorexia and matched them to some of the symptoms of AF. The real question is what are the agreed upon symptoms of anorexia? It’s not one blanket rule for everyone, it’s a caution to only those who are under-eating.What happens if someone comes to the AF support forum who thinks they have ”AF”, but really is suffering from anorexia? How are people going to know that’s what this person is really suffering from if the symptoms are identical? Hey twinkl,Your thyroid lab results are easier to read if you include the lab ranges. Each lab has different ranges.H.Pylori could be causing HPA axis imbalance, i’ve read accounts of symptoms similar to AF from people with H.Pylori.It’s definately worth starting on a protocol to get rid of that from your system to see if symptoms improve.Salt and potassium high range sounds ideal and would generally be altered in AF.The rest of your results should give you a clearer idea of your adrenal function...keep us posted :-) 1,074 hits

I disagree, there are other ways to damage your adrenals besides not eating. High Stress jobs, working out too hard, damaging your CNS etc. are all possible. ”Adrenal fatigue” is just a term meaning damaged adrenals. Anorexia damages the adrenals and thus causes Adrenal fatigue. But not every case of adrenal fatigue is linked to starvation. If you have AF..which you do if you have low cortisol, then multivitamins are an absolute nightmare. The one you just described sounds like a serious cocktail. I’ve seen a handful (if that) of people who have actually had success with adrenal complex supplements like this. I’ve seen many who actually got set back by them. Can Vit. C help digestive problems? by AngelofEventide

I have AF, candida, parasites, Lyme disease, etc. I have been having horrendous stomach issues (bloating and gas in upper stomach, after eating that doesn’t go away and I take digestive enzymes as well as Betaine HCL, bloating presses on vagus nerve causing anxiety attacks, rapid heartbeat, occasional diarrhea, etc.). Yet, when I look at all symptoms, how I feel - and with a score of 177 on Dr Wilson’s AF Questionnaire, I’m not more confused than ever. Definitely a good point, but are you referring to AF or CFS/ME? AF is a stress disorder, would MTHFR cause pysiological and autonomic damage by prolonged periods of stress? Maybe it adds to a weakened system which allows stress to go out control? 3,734 hits

From my limited understanding, a MTHFR gene defect renders us less able to manage stress which contributes to a sustained ”flight” mode, which taxes adrenals, which leads to AF. People with AF & people with CFS/ME can be negatively impacted by this from what I’ve read. Also, people with Lyme disease (moi), candida etc... 3,792 hits

If you have common alopecia it most often has to do with the loss of a loved one. Could be a GF, a pet, a parent or friend. Once you overcome the stress of the loss, the hair will regrow. AF is a different matter, it often deals with being overwhelmed by life in general. It could also be about indecision and not knowing what to do about your life.
